Thai artist Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew discovered that a three-dimensional illusion can be created by painting on fine netting. The discovery came about as an accident when Uttaporn got paint on his mosquito net, and realized that combining multiple layers could give an impression of depth and volume. While using tulle (a fine, lightweight netting used in wedding veils) is not new to art, Uttaporn has developed an ingenious way to force depth and create some truly beautiful work.
