With Filling Pieces, ETQ, and now Mercer making luxury sneakers in Amsterdam, the small-city-with-a-big-city feel is becoming a hub for sneakers. Not bad for a city of less than one million people.
Mercer’s newest collection is unique in that such a small homegrown brand is now using knitted technology in their Wooster Knit shoe, challenging the heavyweights like Adidas and Nike.
Mercer Amsterdam works on the idea of exclusivity and limited editions meaning that for the Wooster Knit silhouette each colorway is limited to just 100 pairs meaning that you can own something very unique. With materials like Italian knitted upper, gel insoles, and soft, perforated calfskin lining, don’t expect the shoes to come cheap.
Their “Knit Pack” releases on the 27th of February and their “Tech Pack” on the 5th of March.
