Innanet James drops debut mixtape "Quebec Place"

We found out about Innanet James a couple months ago. He only had 3 songs up on his SoundCloud and Spotify, but we immediately were fans. Last friday, the Maryland-based rapper finally released his debut project entitled "Quebec Place".

The 10-track mixtape features guest appearances from Chaz FrenchAnik Khan, and The Kount. The sound of "Quebec Place" resembles that of artists such as GoldLink and Anderson .Paak a lot. Apparently, Innanet James and GoldLink actually met each other in high school and used to record music together before they ended up growing apart. The mutual influence can still be easily heard though - "Quebec Place" is filled with bouncy, uplifting, dance floor friendly, feel-good tracks.
