You may not know Lot’s art personally but you have very likely scene it around our fair city of Amsterdam. Consider this an introduction and discover what we do best at whatsgood., telling the story of a local creative whose identity and message alone warrant your time and attention.
“If an open mind is a two-way street, the inside of Lot’s head must look like the broad and spacious boulevards you find in old European cities like Paris and Rome. There’s no expectation when she is looking at the world around her. Just acknowledgement and reinterpretation." - Lot Madeleine “About”
Lot Madeleine, the Amsterdam-based, Royal Academy of Art trained, Dutch legend Piet Parra tutored, underground style with upper class recognition, and all-around dare devil is proudly available in the whatsgood webshop.
A self-described “visual-writer”, Lot Madeleine started off by writing thought-provoking sentences on old wood found on the streets . Her style developed onto different surfaces, including canvas, but her love for every-day objects is what makes her unique. Painting and writing on skate decks, plates, iPhone cases, etc. allow her art and thought-process to be accessible everywhere and to anyone. Her well-received style has brought her to a place where she is able to work with brands such as Scotch & Soda, Vans, Absolute Vodka, Converse. Most notable is her work in establishing the corporate identity aesthetic for the stores ‘Things I Like, Things I Love.’ You’ve likely seen the stores or the tote bags around town.
