CARHARTT WIP SKATE TEAMS TAKE ON MONGOLIA (2004 AND NOW)

About ten years ago Carhartt WIP sent a skate team of seventeen to the famous Ulaanbaatar skate park in Mongolia. Unfortunately, the skate park was torn down before they got there, but they came back with enough images and stories to write a book called Dirt Ollies and make a short film called Mongolian Tires

Roughly ten years later another Carhartt WIP crew returned and documented the changes that Mongolia and the skating culture there have undergone. With their stories and footage, a new book called From Dirt to Dust and short film Out of Steppe.

Enjoy the films and the incredible example of change in developing countries and also check out more of Stephen Roe’s work.
