Whatsgood was in London a few weeks ago filming some webisodes that will release in November, during out time there we decided to get a feel for the local and more global streetwear scene.
We have heard about Palace before but there are not a lot of places in Amsterdam to find Palace gear so we figured we would take advantage of proximity and check out the shop. Palace would characterize itself as a skateboard brand and not strictly streetwear, but skateboarding takes place on the streets and streetwear has so many different influences we are going to cover it anyway. Palace was started in 2010, by Lev Tanju in London and in 5 short years became a powerhouse in the menswear scene. The mentality of 90's nostalgia', VHS tapes, the "fuck it" attitude, and sheer commitment of landing that damn trick has carried on into the brands identity of doing what they want and not worrying about the rest.
VICE and ASOS covered Lev Tanju not too long ago and got to know what makes Palace.
Check out some of the pic from our visit.
