DEZEEP pop-up store is now officially open and running since our last coverage of it. The opening party was fantastic, partially because the free drinks were sponsored by Jameson and Swinckels but also because DEZEEP was showing off its new collection for the New Amsterdam Fam, more about this later.
The thing we love at whatsgood about DEZEEP is the attention to detail and the quality of the cut and sew techniques used by Paul Zeper. In a TheHundreds interview done about a year ago, Paul talked about his inspiration from Scandinavian menswear brands like Wood Wood and Norse Projects and how it reflects in DEZEEP’s motto of “Keep it clean.” This inspiration of minimalist Scandinavian design mixed with his passion for graphic design has led to a collection of high-quality, cut and sew garments that focus on a good cut and great fabric, coupled with caps that catch the eye, like his Night Watch cap. They say a picture is worth a thousand but getting your hands on these pieces will tell you a lot more. Head down to Rosmarijnsteeg 10, Amsterdam and feel for yourself.
This pop-up opening was also coupled with the launch of New Amsterdam Fam at ClubUp. What is New Amsterdam Fam you ask, well DEZEEP is still tight-lipped about it but it is “a platform for a new generation” in Amsterdam. If Paul Zeper is behind it you know it is going to be a good thing but keep your eye on the New Amsterdam Fam, if the launch party was any indication it’s going to be groundbreaking.
